Wood Firing Workshop At Windy Ridge Pottery

We are really excited to offer this workshop experience again! Join Joe at Windy Ridge Pottery in the Driftless Area for a wood firing workshop in June, 2025. Bring your own ready-to-fire pots (we can help you in advance to choose appropriate clay and glazes) and together we will prep the kiln and wood, load, fire, and unload our 3-chambered climbing kiln. Joe’s studio will be available for throwing pots and handbuilding during down time. Camping space, outdoor shower, wood-fired sauna, outhouse, and nightly dinner are included. Class will be capped at 8 participants.

Cost: $1050

BIPOC Scholarship Available.

$500 non-refundable deposit due at registration. We will apply your deposit to a future workshop if you can’t make it.

Wood Firing Workshop At Adamah Clay Studio

November 9– November 14 2025

Come for a week of wood firing in the Adamah anagama kiln near Dodgeville, WI. Bring 60-80 bisque pots and take a few shifts stoking the kiln! When you are not at the kiln, feel free to throw pots in the studio, hike trails on 550 acres of beautiful property, visit Governor Dodge State Park or visit local art galleries.
